Milk used to cleanse?
« on: June 22, 2010, 02:35:15 PM »
Hi, i have a friend who works in the production of Potassium Permanganate, and Potassium Manganate. He tells me that the company gives him 1 Lt. of milk everyday to help clean his system of the chemicals he may inhale. This doesn't make sense to me as i have been unsuccessful to find any evidence of it. Anybody out there have a clue as to if this is true or not?

No idea if it is for "cleaning the system", but back in eighties I was entitled to 1L of milk a day as I was working in the team that dealt with the mercury on the daily basis. Not that I ever did any experimental work, the only time that I could be exposed was when I was visiting other team members ;)
