methylene bis-acrylamide hydrolysis
« on: June 30, 2010, 10:00:08 AM »
Hello everyone,

As far as I know N,N'- methylene bisacrylamide does not suffer hydrolysis in presence of water. however is this possible as well if the temperature of a solution increases from 25 C to 80 C? I am making a treatment of a polymer (with (NH4)2CO3 aqueous solution at 70 C) which MBA is used as crosslinker and I am wondering if some cyclization or hydrolysis can happen.

cheers!
