« on: July 01, 2010, 11:44:24 PM »
This is another question that I need help with...

According to the Arrhenius equation, doubling the activation energy (without changing temp) would alter the reaction rate constant by a factor of?

a) e^2
b) e^-2
c) e^1/2
d) e^-1/2

Answer is B, but how so?

What is the Arrhenius equation?
Write 2 equations : one for the reaction with activation energy, say = E and the other for the reaction with activation energy =  2E.
