Hi Everybody,
I'm not a chemist by trade so i was hoping some of you more knowledgeable ones could assist me...
I'm currently reviewing a formula that contains some glycerol, ethoxylated alcohol and sodium stearate. The resultant product is a solid block whose role is to degrade uric acid build up...
I'm guessing the glycerol is used as a binding agent which, in reaction with the sodium stearate forms the solid block that dissolves over time. The Ethoxylated Alcohol would be used for it's detergency...
Would there be any reaction between Sodium Stearate and Uric Acid that could enable the removal of Uric Acid from pipework?
Kind regards
