Heating oxalic acid solution
« on: August 03, 2010, 03:33:08 AM »
Hi,

I am cleaning some rocks (quartz with Fe2O3 staining) with a solution of oxalic acid (in water). Its strength is 7g per litre. I am heating it up to 80 degrees celcius in an unltrasonic bath. I was wondering if anyone here could give me some advice about the fumes coming off of this. Is it safe? I have tried to read different articles online, but they are conflicting.

Thanks,

Jason.
