a) CH3CH2CO(CH2)3CH(CH3)CH2CH3
I know that this compound is a ketone, but I don't know how you would bond the 3 (CH2) with the CO

What I mean is that after you double bond the C and O you only have room left for 2 more bonds on the Carbon and there's (CH2)3, 3 of them. Where would you put that? And you would also have to connect it to the CH(CH3).

You don't have three CH2, you have a chain of three carbon atoms, just like I draw them.

Doesn't the parenthesis indicate that the CH2's are attached to the C?

No, it just means there are three of them.

It's 7-methylnonan-3-one.
And I don't think that your amine makes any sense the way you've written it up!
