OH group testing

I know PCl5 is used to test for OH group but why phenols have no white fume but there is white fume for cyclohexanol? ???

Do you Phenols react with PCl5? Remember, cyclohexanol is an alcohol but Phenol isn't an alcohol, the chemistry between the two is completely distinct. Once that aromatic ring buts in, everything changes.
