Membrane Separation for volatiles, dissolved gas
« on: September 03, 2010, 03:16:40 PM »
MedArray's PermSelect PDMS silicone hollow fiber membrane modules separate gases from liquid streams or other gases. Silicone is a dense (non-porous) membrane, which operates on differences of permeability in the membrane (solution-diffusion), rather than on molecular weight through pores. The membrane will not "wet out" when used as a membrane contactor and is resistant to fouling.

Applications include:
  • degassing water of O2 or CO2
  • humidifying or dehumidifying gas streams
  • VOC removal or concentration from liquid
Multiple sizes are available, from lab scale to production.

Check our Permeation Tables http://www.permselect.com/membranes to see if a silicone membrane is indicated for your separation, or get more information in our whitepaper on using membranes for gas separation at http://www.permselect.com/files/Using_Membranes_for_Gas_Exchange.pdf. MedArray's website can be found at www.permselect.com.
