Can anyone tell me why nitromethane has a higher boiling point than methyl nitrite? I looked at both of their structures but i couldn't see how you could tell which one had the higher boiling point.

as I know however the forces BTW molecules are stronger the melting point increases because the molecules should have more energy to leave the liquid phase
