separation Al3+ from Fe3+

Hi guys, I'm back with my silly questions:)
Could someone please suggest how to separate Aluminium chloride from iron chloride.
I'm thinking of something that will form a complex with one and not with the other(but nothing comes into my mind).Ammonia, no. oxalate, no. EDTA no.  I'm lost guys.
Help appreciated.

I suggest you to use lots of NaOH:

Fe3+ + 3OH- -> Fe(OH)3 which is solid

Al3+ + 6OH- -> [Al(OH)6]3- which is liquid complex.

next step would be to centrifugate your mixture and separate solid from liquid.

Is the separation for a quantitative of qualitative analyse?
I have a good test for the rigorous  Iron and Aluminium separation.
