Chemical formulas!
« on: November 30, 2010, 01:34:25 AM »
Hi in my lab manual I've been asked to figure out what are the chemical formulas for sodium hypochlorite and sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate.  I know that sodium hypochlorite is NaOCl and sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate is Na2S2O3(5H2O), but do I have to write an equation to predict the products or not?

Did your lab manual ask you to do that? if it did not, then you don't. If it did then you do.

We can be blilliant at times on this board but telepathy, mind reading and remote viewing are generally not among our abilities, so we cant read your Lab book.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
