Quick Question.
« on: October 19, 2010, 02:44:42 PM »
Had a bonus question on my exam today. Didn't know what to respond to it so it has been bugging me. It goes as follows;

"What Solvents might be used to separate a mixture of naphthalene and urea if sublimation were was not an option."

Thank you for your help so I can sleep better tonight lol.

Think about what properties are significantly different in urea and naphthalene (polarity?) then you can use a solvent to exploit that difference.
