What Makes a Good Thermal Conductor
« on: October 28, 2010, 03:11:09 PM »
I am to choose between Na and S.

Since heat travels via vibration I assume a good thermal conductor would have relatively strong bonds. How do I decide according to electron configuration/periodicity what the better conductor is?

Does it have to do with electron affinity?

Is Na a metal or a non-metal?
