I will be doing an experiment soon mixing 5% HF and 15% HCL, but before I do I just want to make sure when they are mixed together nothing bad happens. Anyone know what the result would be? Is this a bad idea?

Tell us what comes out. Unless you are going to use it for something like dissolving a material, I don't know why you would want to have an insane acid mixture lying around.
