Which has the weakest cohesive forces: H2O,CH3Cl, KCl, O2, Au
My solution: It is either CH3Cl or O2 because they are both gases. Now, O2 has smaller molar mass. Is this the correct answer?

well, which one of these is nonpolar?: CH3Cl or O2
If they were both nonpolar and they both exhibited LDF forces (or van der Waals forces), then molar mass (or more appropriately, total # of electrons and polarizability) would come into play

Thank you, O2 is nonpolar, so it has the weakest cohersive force
