Organic and inorganic compounds

Organic compounds come from living organisms and are chemically fragile. Inorganic chemicals, on the other hand, come from the Earth and are chemically durable. Are these statements true or false?
I think that they are false because organic compounds can be synthesized from inorganic, nonliving sources.
Thank you.

These statements are overgeneralized. They are mostly correct, but as you have correctly pointed out, they are not 100% OK.
Unfortunately, depending on the teacher, you may have troubles explaining that they are in fact incorrect.
