Commercial source of lithium carbide nano tubes
« on: February 07, 2011, 10:55:35 PM »
Does anyone know a commercial source of lithium carbide, Li2C2, nano-tubes or tubes? That is, the carbon lattice of the tube is intercalated with an equal number of lithium atoms in the lattice structure.

Better still, does anyone know a commercial source of double walled tubes, with the outer tube made of pure carbon and the inner tube made of the above lithium carbide?

The supply should be possible in tonne lots, and the carbon/lithium carbide tubes should be around three meters in length.

At this stage I would just like published information on an existing source of supply, though not necessarily with prices, but with sources and availability of supply.
