NMR database et al
« on: February 20, 2011, 10:02:51 PM »

are there nmr databases of complexes? I'm trying to find literature spectra for some transition metal complexes I synthesized in my inorganic lab. I'm getting nothing in google for nmr spec of each complex . Acetylacetonate are the only ligands attached to them btw.

I tried SDBS a well and no help either...:\

Also how long does it take for scifinder to send activation emails? some of my other lab mates still haven't received any in a week. I registered through my school btw.

Try Spinus-Web's NMR Spectrum Predictor: http://www.dq.fct.unl.pt/spinus/

It should give at least a close approximation to almost any kind of NMR Spectrum, although I have never tried it for transition metal complexes

If you have access to ConQuest http://www.ccdc.cam.ac.uk/products/csd_system/conquest/ you can draw structure that will search the CCSD which will then give you links to literature and hence NMR!

hope  this helps
