University that offers Bachelor's in Chemistry online?
« on: February 26, 2011, 06:55:18 PM »
Okay. I am a Chemistry major at Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I am a sophomore with currently 60 hours of credit. I am taking 16 hours currently so I should have 76 by the summer. I was wondering if their is a good university out there that I could take all my classes for a degree in chemistry on-line? I would like it if I could do the labs on-line as well but that isn't necessary.

I've looked at OSU, and while they do offer a lot of chemistry courses on-line idk if they offer everything to get your degree on-line. I emailed them about this and hope to hear from them soon.

Can somebody please point me in the right direction? I'm basically looking to go to a university and get my degree from them like everyone else but do it on-line. I need a good university, and I would like it if they didn't appear on my transcript as on-line classes. I am sure somewhere out there in the world there is at least one university that does this. Thank you all for your time and I hope that you all will be able to help me.

I'd think that a chemistry degree can't be fully taught online if they intend on producing chemists because of the necessity of laboratory courses.

I'm really talking about the lectures...I don't mind having to go do the labs in person but if I could take the courses online that would be awesome.
