I am fairly annoyed right now, after finding that the chemical supplier that I had rather expensively, had an order shipped to an associate in the US, due to the firm not shipping to the UK, then reshipped, sold me O-tolidine, instead of the required O-toluidine.

Question is, isn't o-tolidine just two toluidines hooked together? I seem to remember that it is, I looked online for structures, and didn't find one I could view correctly, as my PC graphics drivers are currently buggered, so, how to cleave the tolidine, to toluidine?

Before it is mentioned, I am aware of the toxic and carcinogenic nature of toludine, but it is indispensible for the synthesis I am currently attempting.

Correct.  The two amine groups are para to the linkage between the two rings.

Anybody? I really need to find out how to cleave the tolidine, and I cannot find anything on wetdreams, the Hive archives, Rhodium, or even google, it just pulls up references to azo-dyes
