Activation energy doubt
« on: March 16, 2011, 06:20:23 PM »
Guys this is the first order decomposition of hydrogen:

Using the above data, how do i calculate the Activation energy for this decomposition reactions?

Do i first calculate the first order rate constant k, for each temperatures and then plot ln(k) against 1/T for different temperatures and obtain the corresponding activation energies from the slope (-Eact/R)?

Yes, that sounds perfectly correct.
