So are there materials or objects (like products) that when put side by side share, gain and release heat without the use of electricity or battery power?

Sodium and Potassium metal when rubbed together, or even sit with each other form an alloy, NaK, this reaction is exothermic i believe. in the presence of H2O, it explodes.
