So, we recently did a practical in my A-Level chemistry and we had a "Solution A" and some other chemicals. We added a few drops of each chemical to Solution A and wrote down our observations. I would love to know what this chemical is, but it doesn't relate to any of the identification tables in our chemistry book.
So,
Sodium Hydroxide - No visible changes |
Sulfuric acid - White precipitate |
Potassium Chromate (VI) - Yellow precipitate we also added Hydrochloric acid to this and then it turned clear and deep orange colour |
Silver nitrate + Nitric acid - No visible changes |
Sodium carbonate - White precipitate |
I would be very happy if you could help me or point me in the right direction.
