The acid hydrolysis of HYDROXY-nitriles produces a HYDROXY-carboxylic acid and what ?

What would the alkaline hydrolysis of HYDROXY-nitriles produce ?

RR'CHOH-C=N gives RR'C=O + HCN

You will get the Keton or Aldehyde and Cyanhydrogen.

I should have specified DILUTE acid/alkali.
