pHD in chemical education programs
« on: May 22, 2011, 04:20:54 PM »
I have a bachelors in chemistry and a Masters in biochemistry and molecular biology.  I am considering picking up a pHD in chemical education in order to improve my teaching and rate of pay at two year schools.  (Community colleges here in the US).  Anyone have a list of schools that offer this degree and are they worth anything at all?

So far I have seen them at texas tech and the university of Maryland.  One in NC would be nice but haven't found one there yet.

Purdue has a really good one.
Chapel Hill in NC has people listed as focusing on Chemical Education. You might send them an email and ask about it, etc.

Though, honestly, any PhD degree would improve your pay rate, it does not have to just be in Chemical Education.
