Radical rearrangement/insertions
« on: May 10, 2011, 11:52:22 AM »
Hey there folks, I've just run a quick search both through this forum and on google and I cannot seem to find any info on this. Even my copy of Clayden doesn't have the answer.

This is a past paper question from an exam at my university and I'm not quite sure whats going on. I appear to be missing notes on this. The methyl groups appear to be moving around but I'm not too sure how. Any help would be appreciated, especially if you can point me in the direction of some reading that will elaborate.
