Sodium nitrite synthesis

Are there any simple methods of synthesizing sodium nitrite or other nitrite salts from commonly available precursors?

Lead metal and sodium nitrate when fused is the traditional method of doing this.

its ok.
i read the rules but i didnt think that posting that website is against them cause that site was only for sodium nitrate synthesis.
anyway you can ask uncle google about sodium nitrate synthesis he will point you to pliantly of links.
