Alkylation of malonic ester

What would be the product of malonic ester reacts with 2,3-dibromobutane? Any help would be appreciated...

If it's an alkylation, what are the reaction conditions? What type of reaction is it? What product would be formed if the reagent was mono-brominated? Show us some ideas ;)
