Determination of lead in ore
« on: July 05, 2011, 08:48:49 AM »
Hi guys,
I am going to determine the percent of lead in galena(ore sample).
As you probably know the percentage of lead in pure galena is about 70% and this is too high for analysis by spectrometric methods.
I read that is titration of lead solution with EDTA but I don`t have exact method.
It`s appreciated if you quote me.
regards.

Why? What's wrong with either starting with a much smaller sample or extracting the lead and performing a dilution on the original extract to measure using a spectrophotometer.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
