Viscous thermoplastic?
« on: August 20, 2011, 01:37:31 AM »
Hi,

Does anyone know of a thermoplastic that can be melted at under 200 degrees F and is viscous? I've looked at shapelock.com but their product seems to be more doughy when melted.

Thanks so much for the *delete me*

If wax or paraffin were acceptable to you, they do melt below +93°C. Talc improves their stability.

Typical thermoplastics are designed to resist heat better! But some polyethylene will be seriously soft at +93°C, for instance a PE water bottle collapses if containing boiling water.
