How do I calculate the initial rate of a reaction of 02 produced?

Hey, I'm stumped  ???

2 H202 -> 2 H20 + O2 with NaI catalyst

For the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide H202, we measured the amount of oxygen, O2 produced. We did 7 trials, each 10 seconds where we varied the concentration of H202 and NaI (the catalyst).

For example trial 7 we used 10ml of 6% m/v H202 and 4ml of 1 mol/L NaI diluted with 6ml of distilled water. We recorded 1.7ml /0.0002429g of O2 produced.

In this example how would I calculate the initial rate of reaction?

I tried to do it myself for trial #1 where 10ml of 6% m/v H202 and 10ml of 1mol/L NaI and 44 ml/0.0616g of 02 was produced:
I said that 0.001925 moles of oxygen was produced. Then I divided by 20ml to find concentration (0.02L) and got 0.0975 mol/L.
Then I divided by 10 seconds (time we let the stuff react) so got 0.00975 mol/L*S.

Does this make sense?

why did you divide by 20 if you claim yourself that 44 ml was produced...
other than that the approach sounds right
