Gas saturation in liquid: Two components
« on: September 09, 2011, 10:13:30 AM »
I'm curious about a hypothetical scenario.

I got water saturated with gas A. Assume constant pressure.

If I add gas B, will any go into solution since the water is saturated with gas A?

Any help or direction is  appreciated.

Yes it will. For example you saturated Water with Nitrogen, then you introduced CO2 (gas). Eventually you will find that water is saturated with both Nitrogen and Carbon Dioxide.
