How can you distinguish between ammonium ethanoate and ethanamide using chemical tests?

Well i thought about the reaction of amides with HNO2 but Im not sure what it gives with ammonium ehanoate. also Im not sure about adding NaOH to ammonium ehanoate do you form sodium ethanoate and ammonia?

My guess would be to do the same test with Nessler's reagent as in the other thread.

How about pH?  The amide should be neutral while the ammonium salt will be slightly acidic.
