Hi people,

I need you again, I couldnt see the reason of the problem and if you shed some light, I will be very happy..

The point is that, I found a question in Sparknotes and couldnt solve:

What is the density of nitrogen in STP? The question is all and all this!

The solutions are:
1) 28grams/22,4litres = 1,25 g/L (this is the correct answer)
2) d=PM/RT= 1x28 / 0.0821X298 =1,15 g/L (this way should be correct as well)

What is the reason of the difference, I couldnt see ???

What do your different symbols mean in 2? Could it be you are using a different set of conditions?

STP is ambiguous.

22.4 L means p=1atm, T=0°C. Compare with your calculations.
