I have two rivers of water of equal volume that are mixing with one stream having a pH of 5 and an alkalinity of -1 meq/L , while the other stream has a pH of 7 and an alkalinity of 0.12 meq/L, the carbonate system controls the alkalinity and I need to determine what the alkalinity of the mixed waters is. Any help would be greatly appreciated
