Redox Stoichiometry
« on: November 19, 2011, 06:27:54 PM »
Okay so the question is:

Quote
Calculate the required mass of iron(II) ammonium sulfate-water to prepare 100.0 mL of a 0.0500 mol/L solution.

I'm so confused, I don't even know where to begin! ): Any help would be wonderful !

Wow.  A new winner in the Misleading Subject Line contest: ;D

OK, you need to determine moles/L.  You've been given a volume, in mL  You have some unit conversions to do.  Can you take a random stab?
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.

Its a Redox Stoichiometry lab where this specific question comes from, I wasn't sure what to title it as otherwise because that is where this question is leading. I understand the rest but i got confused by this question.

Yes I can do that, but regardless, if I did that originally I wouldn't be 100% sure if I was doing it correctly or not.

The question is about solution preparation, it has nothing to do with redox reactions.

You will not get any help before showing your efforts. This is a forum policy.

If you are confused, please reread your notes/book on calculating concentrations.
