Info about Combined Pt electrodes?

Hey guys,
As part of my labwork, I'm supposed to describe and explain the structure and operation of a combined platinum electrode as a voltmeter. I've found some general explenations about combined electrodes but not platinum ones. Thanks in advance.

Redox probes using normaly platinum as innert metal. Look for redox electrode.

If you mean by "combined Pt electrode" that both the cathode AND electrode are using Pt as the metal(s), then ask yourself this question:

Will the reduction half-rxn and oxidation half-rxn contain metals in solid form?  This should point you in the right direction...
