Hi, I've been asked to research different causes to this problem and produce a number of different effective solutions. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas?

A level indicator monitors and controls the liquid level in the re-boiler which uses steam to heat up the Isopropanol/ water mixture ready for separation in the column. When the re-boiler was last emptied, it was observed that the last level reading showed 10%. After discussion with the process operators, it is their belief that the level indication always shows a 10% reading above what the actual level is in the re-boiler.

The level sensing transmitter has on several occasions been removed and correctly calibrated to read 0-60Iwg as per, but still appears to be reading an inaccuracy of 10%.

Any ideas would be very helpful.
