I have a set of practice problems in my general chemistry class and I am hung up on this question:
The surface area and average depth of the Pacific ocean are 2.0 x 10^8 km^2 and 3.9 x 10^3 m respectively. What is the volume of water in the ocean in litres?
I understand that Volume = surface area x depth, but I am having trouble understanding the steps in converting these 2 into Liters.
Can someone explain to me how I go about getting the answer to this?
Thanks in advance!
