Hydrogen Cyanide
« on: January 14, 2012, 12:49:19 AM »
Hi - I'm trying to get some information - as much as possible actually on the differences if any in the making of industrial hydrogen cyanide and the type that is produced from tobacco smoke. Any information would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Chris

If I understand you correctly, you are asking if properties of a molecule depend on the way it was made. No. Each molecule of a given compound is identical. If it is different, it is a different compound.

That being said, bulk compounds usually contain some impurities, and these will differ depending on the source.
