Hey everyone,
I've been thinking, are there any fun books out there that take a look at aspects of basic chemistry that are never explained in textbooks - due to lack of space.
For example, most introductory chemistry books will describe the relationship of electronegitivities and periods/rows of the periodic table. What other relationships are there that aren't considered important enough to point out for a student?
I have been trying to find patterns/relationships between elements/compouds on my own. No such luck yet. Still, something that interests me...
I started thinking about this after observing that many mathematicians come up with their own observations/relationships about numbers. I just wondered if chemistry had the same thing going on...
