Question:

The composition of a multi-domain macromolecule corresponds to the following data
Domain   amount/mol    molecular weight
1              30                 15000
2              15                  30000
3              60                 45000

Calculate the number-averaged and weight-averaged molecular weights of the
macromolecule.

For the number-average molecular weight would this calculation be correct:

(30 x 15000) + (15 x 30000) + (60 x 45000) / (15+30+60)

and for the weight-averaged would this calculation be correct:

(30 X 15000^2) + (15 x 30000^2) + (60 x 45000^2) / (30 x 15000)+(15 x 30000)+(60 x 45000)

Thanks.

Yes, assuming that "amount/mol"  refers to the number of molecules.
