Chemical that could be used to detect cigarette smoke
« on: October 30, 2011, 03:02:16 AM »
Hi guys,

It's my first post here :)

I'm trying to do an experiment where a chemical would darken in contact with cigarette smoke.

I thought about the gel used in Biomimetic CO Detectors (based on synthetic hemoglobin), but I'm not sure if there will be enough CO released to trigger the reaction.

Anybody has an idea of what else I could use?

Thanks!
