Hi! So I was taught that anomeric carbon's are one's which have 2 O's bonded to them...
But what about the example below? They are in the correct position.. Do the circled carbons count as "anomeric"?

According to your definition they are not anomeric.
Development Chemists do it on Scale, Research Chemists just do it!

Are the hexagons meant to represent monosaccharide derivatives?  If so, then your drawing is misleading and would need to be corrected before a solid answer could be given.
