i've been working on this problem for a while and here it goes:

For an ideal gas, calculate the pressure in atm if 0.00825 mol occupies 174 mL at 215 degrees C.

I tried to do it by the equation PV = nRT and not getting the right anwser. I've coverted celsius to kelvin and got the equation:

P(0.174L) = 0.00825(0.08206)(488LK) and didnt get anything. (It's a multiple choice question.)

any help will be greatly appreciated. thankyou - ghost

PV=nRT

V = 174mL = 0.174L
n = 0.00825mol
R = 0.0821 L.atm.K-1.mol-1
T = 215 oC = 488K

P = nRT/V

   = 0.000825 x 0.0821 x 488 / 0.174

   = 0.19atm
