Why does adding salt to soft drinks make it lose CO2 faster.

After you open a soda can and release the pressurized carbon dioxide in the can, the solution is supersaturated with carbon dioxide.  Adding salt provides more nucleation sites where bubbles of carbon dioxide can form.  This increases the rate of carbon dioxide evolution.

adding salt will change the taste as well.

I rather microwave my soft drinks, then chill it.
