Is there a relatively simple and inexpensive method to determine the amount of acrylamide in foods such as French fries and potato chips?

Google for "acrylamide assay food" and this pdf from the Thermo Scientific company will come up. They're a common manufacturer of the consumables needed for these sorts of assays, and they write clear, thorough application notes such as this one.
