Colour obtained from the oxidation of Fe
« on: January 06, 2013, 06:16:05 AM »
I've done two reactions with Fe, accelerating them with heat.

One is Cupric Nitrate and Fe, and another is Sulfuric Acid and Fe. I have to write down the colours I'll get in the end in those two rections.

I've been asking and they've told me I will get blue, green and then yellow, or something similar... but I don't remember seing those colors..

Thanks for your help :)

Which color have Cu2+, Fe2+ and Fe3+ in aqueous solution?
