Graph of Hyperbolic function
« on: August 23, 2012, 02:21:48 AM »
We have got a series of data points which form a hyperbola.
Does anyone know any programs that can get the equation from our points using regression (hyperbola line of best fit).

We need to find the equation investigations with Michaelis-Menten

"hyperbola line"

That'd be an oxymoron.  :)

Can you linearize it by moving terms around and then use linear regression in excel?

If you have access to Matlab or some such they all do non-linear regression.

Excel will also do a polynomial fit to data.  I don't have Excel, so I don't know exactly how, but a little poking around with Excel's help function should be pretty self explanatory.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
