Hi, can you help me with this problem? also, will there be a different number of compound if there was no excess O3 just reguler amount of O3?

I think they are only implying that enough ozone is present to react. If it said two or three equivalents, that would be a hint as to what you should expect. Excess is a strategy requiring the person answering the question to make the decision.

In your shown compound, how many places (functional groups) can ozone react with?
